All about Eric Carle

Hello Parents!
I’m sure you are all familiar with this most famous and beloved children’s book author and illustrator. For the little ones today I’ve put together a list of Eric Carle stories you can view and listen to on You Tube (if you don’t have the books at home), some beautiful arts and crafts, and even Hungry Caterpillar math and science worksheets.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
(Last year this book celebrated 50 years since it’s first publishing!) The imaginative illustrations and clever cut-out detail charts the progress of a very hungry caterpillar as he eats his way through the week.
The Very Quiet Cricket
A cricket’s journey to find his voice.
The Very Busy Spider
The spider is too busy to play with the other animals.
The Grouchy Ladybug
A grouchy ladybug picks a fight with bigger and bigger animals throughout a day (with time learning element) only to end up back where she started.
Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?
A picture book full of rhyme and repetition that will appeal to preschoolers.
Polar Bear Polar Bear What do you Hear?
Zoo animals from polar bear to walrus make their distinctive sounds for each other, while children imitate the sounds for the zookeeper.
The Very Lonely Firefly
A firefly is born and seeks out different light sources looking for more of his kind. In the end he finds them.
A House for Hermit Crab
A hermit crab travels through the ocean through the months of a year decorating his shell until he needs to move and start all over again.

On this page he has coloring pages, collage instructions, handprint bear craft, mazes, dot-to-dot, look and find pages and more:
Artsy Craftsy Mom
this website has some really nice crafts including this one that I love: a grouchy ladybug who “hides” her feelings. Your child can put some of their own feelings under the wings.
