Let’s Talk About the Weather: What is Meteorology?

Hi Everyone! This week we are going to be Talking About the Weather! Today we have some links to learn all about the science of Meteorology. Check back later for links to weather related science activities, art projects and book recommendations!

Meteorology is a field of science that studies the changes in weather on a day-to-day basis in a specific place. Scientists who study meteorology are called meteorologists. Using various tools, meteorologists forecast whether it will rain or snow and whether it will be warm or cold. In comparison, the science called climatology is the study of climate—the average weather conditions over long periods of time all over Earth.
