Archaeology and Adventure Playground Moorwiese

Hi Parents!

Following up on our week all about Archaeology, I recently discovered this great park in Pankow: Archäologie- und Abenteuerspielplatz Moorwiese. It is an archeology and adventure playground for children and young people from 6 to 16 years. Under pedagogical supervision, kids can learn a lot about the topics of nature and experimental archeology – with all the senses.

Deal with the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Early Middle Ages in a variety of ways. The point is that you experience the knowledge of classical archeology by experimenting yourself. So try out old crafts such as pewter pouring, pottery or building arrows. Care for animals. Learn archery. Build together huts from earlier ages. Get to know the elements fire, water, earth and air.

A highlight is the family day on Saturday: Kids are invited – to build a hut, to a campfire and to get to know old handicrafts.

They are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 13:30 to 18:30 and Saturdays from 13-18:00.

“Wild World” takes place Monday to Tuesday from 8:30-15:30, Wednesday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:30 and Saturday from 13:00 to 18:00. On Wednesdays after September 9th, Julie will do a special Wild World presentation. You can also organize a birthday party there.

Wiltbergstraße 29B, 13125 Berlin (Pankow)
