Pumpkin Time!

Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!

I can’t believe it’s already that time of year! With Fall fast approaching, some of you may be wondering where you can go to get in some Pumpkin Time! While most of these are not actual patches where you can pick pumpkins, here are lots of choices for day trips to celebrate the season and its famous fruit.

Karl’s Erlebnis Dorf in Elstal has Pumpkin time from Sept 11th-November 1st: Yummy Pumpkin dishes and products, Pumpkin Market, and on October 17th, Kids can carve or decorate a pumpkin on site. Schöneberger Kurbisfest

On the first weekend in October, the 3rd and 4th, there is a Pumpkin festival on the Akazien- and Belziger Strasse in Schöneberg.The festival features over 10,000 pumpkins of 20 varieties which are then made into soups, cakes, quiche, lasagne and other delicacies by participating restauranteurs.


Spargelhof Klaistow has a Pumpkin Exhibit From September 5th Until November 1st.  

Over 100,000 pumpkins are carved, assembled and constructed into fantastical creatures. They have pumpkin carving on the weekends and holidays. There will be an exhibit of 500 different types of pumpkins from around the world and different delicacies made from pumpkin including cakes, noodles, jam, and ice cream. The exhibit is on their playground area and entry is 2€ for adults and free for kids up to 12 years old.


Späth Baumschule (Nursery in south of Berlin: Baumschulenweg/Johannisthal) has a pumpkin exhibit with pumpkins on sale by weight from Sept 19th until the start of November. https://www.spaethsche-baumschulen.de/veranstaltungen/pflanzenschauen/kuerbisausstellung/

The Hofladen is open Mo-Sa from 9-18:00 and Sunday from 11-17:00, Späthstraße 80/81 . 12437 Berlin (See Featured Image)

Kurbis Olli in Fürstenwalde Brandenburg has pumpkins and pumpkin products on sale along with grilled bratwurst.


Domäne Dahlem has a Fall Harvest Festival on October 10th and 11th from 10-18:00with a market with regional products on sale. View harvesting equipment and learn about the history of agriculture in the museum. The kids can see a fire show or a puppet theater, make harvest related paintings (participate in a competition) and decorate and fly kites, Entry is 3€ or 2€ Reduced with children up to 12 Free.
