Civil Rights Virtual Songwriting Event

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the USA, the Country Music Hall of Fame will be hosting Songwriting 101 for Free on January 16th. 11:30am Eastern/ 17:30 Berlin Time

Via chat, participants will share ideas and write an original song inspired by the Civil Rights Movement. Music professional Adam Ollendorff will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, theme, and rhyme scheme. Via chat, participants will share ideas and write an original song. Ollendorff has toured as a member of Kacey Musgraves’s band, and his songs have been recorded by Will Hoge and Keb’ Mo’.

No need to travel to Nashville; this free class takes place on FieldTripZoom. Advance registration is required. Space is limited. Recommended for ages seven and up, but all are welcome. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen.
