Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!
If you want to see some really fascinating insects, the Macro Photo- and Videographer Andreas Kay (unfortunately deceased) has an amazing collection of insects from Ecuador which you can see on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/c/AndreasKay/about

You can also see more about him and his work here: https://andreaskay.org

Ecuador is one of 17 megadiverse countries, it actually has the highest biodiversity per square kilometer of any nation, with over 1660 species of birds, some 4000 species of butterflies and thousands of colorful moths, more than 500 amphibians, as well as a unique flora with e.g. over 4300 species of orchids.
Andreas Kay documented the diversity of life in Ecuador as an independent scientist since 2011 and shared some 30.000 photos on his page Ecuador Megadiverso (www.flickr.com/andreaskay/albums), hoping to raise more awareness for these threatened treasures. It includes pictures of plants, reptiles, amphibians, snails, birds, insects, and other animals.
