Natural History of Panama

Hi Folks! Happy Saturday!

A new graphic novel for kids, called “Martina and the Bridge of Time” by marine paleobiologist Aaron O’Dea and illustrator and science communicator Ian Cooke Tapia, tells the history of the isthmus of Panama.

A curious young girl questions her teacher when her class begins learning about Panama’s history, beginning with the arrival of the Spanish. Surely there was something before then! She builds a time machine and explores and discovers the natural and prehistory of her country, highlighting its biodiversity.
