Hi Parents! Are you also a bit frustrated by how boring most first-reader books in German are? Well, here is a new author to check out:
Judith Allert has recently received the Siegner prize from the University there for first-reader books in German. She loves to play with words, and likes her stories to be “crisp” and have a certain rhythm. You can check out her books „Die Waschbären-Bande“ and „Detektivgeschichten“ with the detective stories winning the prize, and bringing finally a story with a refined plot and finessed language to the first-reader level. You can visit her website as well.
