Many museums and events require you to book a free time slot in advance. Some places you can just show up and get a ticket on-site. The Museum Sunday website has a list of the museums and which ones require pre-booking. Time-slot tickets will be available 2 weeks prior to the next museum Sunday via the Museum Sunday online booking system. www.museumssonntag.berlin/en
The brand new Humboldt Forum in the Berliner Schloss is also offering free entry for their first 100 Days. Although their website doesn’t seem to have any bookable time-slots, I have heard from several sources that you can just show up and go in. https://www.humboldtforum.org/en/
