Spotlight on: Readers Group!

Our 90-minute “readers group”, from 10:00 to 11:30 on Saturday mornings, is probably our most “academically oriented” group (although at Saturday Club we approach everything in the spirit of play).

In this group, the kids read stories and books and discuss them together with our professional group leaders. They also do language skill building exercises (reading, writing, listening and speaking), play games, and sometimes work on multi-session projects. In the past they have designed their own countries and superheroes and built houses for dragons!

This group is for roughly 7- to 10-year-olds (usually grades 2-4). In order to join this group kids need to be able to read full sentences and ideally paragraphs in any alphabetic language (it doesn’t need to be English).
