Mir ist Langweilig

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday!

As the cold winter months are approaching, we will soon be seeking out more fun activities we can do at home. There is a terrific new book from Kleine Gestalten publishers with creative ideas on how to keep the kids busy at home, with both easy crafts and games for ages 5 and up (and adults!) It is written by Ryan Eyers, a New Zealander based in Berlin, and illustrated by Rachel Victoria Hills from Liverpool. It comes in English:“Let’s Play Indoors!” and German: “Mir ist Langweilig!” and includes step-by-step instructions on how to make things such as your own puzzles, painted salt dough sculptures, a playhouse, a mobile, and wearable wings.

If your kid is a fan of activity books, Labor Ateliergemeinschaft has a great series of them, including one where kids become architects, called Voll Gemütlich, designing their own house inside and out, and can learn about different types of homes and houses including those from different lands as well as from different creatures.

Labor Ateliergemeinschaft has many other activity books including one about traveling, one about adventures, one about friends, and several full of drawing, playing, and writing prompts and fun illustrations.
