Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone! In case you are looking for ways to celebrate Thanksgiving, you might want to check out some of the fun games and crafts we posted last year.

Here is an animated video from Uncivil History about the true origins of the Thanksgiving holiday and the sad truths of the extermination and enslavement of the native people.

Here is another video by Cody Bonds about the True History of Thanksgiving and focussing more on the history of the pilgrims.

Also, Vivify STEM has posted some really fun and educational Thanksgiving activities!: Kids can make a paper turkey and on each “feather” write something that they are thankful for. To make it fly, attach a fat straw or rolled paper on the back, seal it at one end, insert a smaller straw and blow! Check out their website for the turkey template as well as step-by-step instructions for an electric turkey (making a circuit from dough) and an offline coding game.

If you don’t want to cook but still want a feast, you can make a reservation at Hard Rock Cafe for Thursday. They will be offering a two course menu with turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and pumpkin pie for dessert. They also have vegetarian option and a kids portion!

Masha’s Bagels in Treptow and Salt and Bone in Prenzlauer Berg are also hosting Thanksgiving dinner if you make a reservation.

Please Note: We are not paid to advertise and cannot attest to the quality of the restaurants listed.
