Hi Everyone!
Happy Saturday! Looking for some ideas on what to do with the kids over the Easter Break?
Klax Kreativwerkstatt has a great line up of all day workshops as usual including Wood and Design with the Lasercutter, Dragon Masks, Stop Motion Animation, Clay, Papier Maché Puppets, Graffiti, and Robotics. Check their website for recommended age ranges, costs and dates.
The Jugendkunstschule Charlottenburg will have an Easter holiday program for kids. It’s not currently published on their website but keep checking or call them. I know for certain there will be an animation class for kids ages 8-12, on offer in the second week (19-22 April) with the theme of “Island Adventure” (since I am teaching it!)
Check out the Jugend im Museum website for fun artsy workshops including Virtual Reality at the Berlinische Galerie, Drawing and Watercolor in the Tierpark, black and white photography in the west end, Collage at the Bröhan Museum and more.
If you are looking for something more sporty, there are still spots available in the Berlin Brandenburg Fussballschule Football Holiday Camp (in German) for ages 5-13 in Wilmersdorf. Sport Island in Kreuzberg (Tempelhofer Feld with free shuttle to various locations) offers a day camp where kids and teens can try out different sports including bouldering, badminton, ninja climbing, swim and jump, capoeira, pingpong, and ball games. An added plus: they speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic and German! There are still spots available in the Cabuwazi Circus Workshops for kids too!
To spend some time together as a family, some fun short outings we might try this holiday are a trip to Karl’s Erlebnisdorf, and the swimming pool and waterslides at the TURM Erlebniscity. Erlebniscity also has saunas, massage, a rock climbing wall, bowling and restaurants. The Kletterwald Wühlheide and the Climbing Forest in the the Jugendfernheide will be open again by then as well.
Send us a message if you have any other fun ideas for the easter break with kids.
